Wiktor Metelski, the creator of Tabnote, is the controller of data connected with this website and the testing program. For questions about data or testing, write to us at contact@tabnote.io.
Notes in the app
Note content, tags, labels, tabs, history, and app preferences are stored locally on your phone. The app does not require an account and does not send us the content of your notes.
Updating this same app through Google Play preserves local data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes local notes.
Joining testing
You get access to the app by joining the Google group and accepting the testing invitation in Google Play. Google operates these services under its own terms. As the group manager, we may see membership data shared by Google, including the account address. We use it to manage access to testing, not to create a separate mailing list on this website.
You manage your membership in the Google group, and your participation in the program on the Google Play testing page. You can leave either one separately.
Voluntary contact and feedback
If you email us, we receive your address, the message, and any attachments. We use them to reply, handle your request, and improve the app. We collect feedback by email and on optional Discord. Do not send private note content that you do not want to share.
We rely on our legitimate interest to handle correspondence and manage testing access: communicating with people interested in the app and organizing testing (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing data in correspondence is voluntary. We do not send automated reminders or advertising newsletters.
We keep correspondence until the matter is resolved, for no longer than 6 months after the last contact. You can ask us to delete your data sooner. Anonymous testing findings may be used to continue developing the app.
Hosting and external services
OVHcloud provides hosting and email. Messages sent to contact@tabnote.io are also forwarded to the administrator's private Gmail inbox, operated by Google. The host may keep technical access logs containing, among other things, the IP address and requested URL for security and website maintenance.
The website uses only the functional “tabnote_lang” cookie to remember your selected language; it does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not embed Google Groups or Discord. You visit those services only after clicking a link. Using Google and Discord may involve processing data outside the EEA under the terms and safeguards described by the providers: Google, Discord, and OVHcloud.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Other rights, including data portability, apply where provided by law. You can lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office. We do not make automated decisions about testers or profile them.
